Member of the Presidential Board, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung
Dr.-Ing. Claudia Eggert is a Member of the Presidential Board at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung and responsible for strategic research coordination and international cooperation (BAM). She has long-standing experience in international cooperation and policy advice and served as an expert on several European Boards and Committees. Prior to joining BAM, she was director of the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi), the joint service platform of the German research organisations in Brussels and Bonn. Formerly, Claudia Eggert was head of the Service Center for research and transfer at the University of Jena. The office’s mission is to support research funding, exploitation of research results and entrepreneurship as well as strategic support for the board of the university. Claudia Eggert received her Ph.D. (Dr.-Ingenieur) in Biotechnology from the Technical University Berlin in 1993 (summa cum laude).
